The difference between a “believer” and a Christian is the presence and power of God’s Spirit working in those following Christ. Standing by a fire will warm a person up, but looking at it from afar will not. Likewise, we need the presence of God to transform us from the inside, or else the change will not last. The mark of salvation is our reaction to the message of the Gospel. After the Resurrection the two messages most needed by the church world are Repent (metanoia) and Love one another.
