There Will Be Resistance, but God Is in Control

Dr. Johann Eck, a so-called friend of Martin Luther, stood against Luther when the Reformation began. When you take a stand for the Word of God, there will be resistance from those around you. In a dispute between Dr. Eck and Luther, Martin Bucer was present and became a follower of Luther, and eventually helped push the reformation into other territories. God’s hand in controlling the unfolding of history is apparent in the climate of Germany leading up to the Reformation and in the life of Henry VIII.
